From survivor to global voice
At just 13, Malvika survived a devastating bomb blast — a moment that could have defined her by loss, but instead became the beginning of an extraordinary rise. Refusing to be confined by the label of victim, she chose the identity of a survivor. After losing both her hands and sustaining severe leg damage — nerve paralysis, arthritis and loss of sensation — she spent two years bedridden, rebuilding not just her body, but her spirit.
What followed was remarkable. With only three months of preparation, she sat her Class 10 board examinations and emerged a topper, scoring an exceptional 97 percent — a testament to her discipline and unbreakable will.
Today, Malvika is a leading voice of the global inclusion movement: an award-winning disability-rights activist, a Doctorate in Social Work and an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker — also a TEDx speaker, corporate trainer, MC and inclusive-fashion model who continues to redefine representation and visibility. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the India Inclusion Foundation.
Speaking since November 2013 — over 12 years — she advocates for disability rights, gender equality, mental health, child rights, universal design and accessibility.
